Thanksgiving Food Drive | CCPS & CCES

The HOPE Center is hosting a food drive at Caldwell County Primary School and Caldwell County Elementary School. All donated food items will be given to Southside Baptist Church to help prepare Thanksgiving food baskets for families in our community.

Non-perishable food items will be collected Tuesday, November 3 through Thursday, November 5.

The classroom at each school that brings the most items overall will win a pizza party.

CCES Students Supporting Operation Giving Trees

Mrs. Harralson's students at Caldwell County Elementary School are collecting toys to support Operation Giving Trees, a local nonprofit organization in Princeton that assists families throughout the year. As part of a special community service project, students are helping the organization prepare for the Christmas season!

Donations of toy cars, LEGOs, Barbies, and baby dolls are especially needed.

A collection box will be available in Mrs. Harralson's classroom.

Mrs. Harralson's students are once again leading donation drives at CCMS and CCHS to support the HOPE & COPE Centers! This year, the center is in need of socks, chapstick, and winter hats.

Thanksgiving Break | November 25-27

Thanksgiving is just around the corner! Our students, families, and staff will have a chance to take a well-deserved break from the school routine and enjoy the holiday together.

Have a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving, Tigers!

Leadership in the Library

Our Primary and Elementary libraries are inspiring students to "Read, Think, Create and Lead!"  Through engaging read alouds, book exploration, hands on challenges, collaboration and journal reflections, students are building curiosity, creativity and confidence.

October's Literati Book Fair offered an exciting opportunity to discover new books and celebrate reading. November's theme, "Leaders and Changemakers," reminds students that everyone can be a leader.  In the library, students practice leadership by checking out their own books, caring for shared materials, helping classmates, recommending books and contributing ideas.

Across both libraries, our Tigers are discovering how their ideas and actions can positively impact their schools and communities!

Reminders

Every School Day Counts!

Regular attendance is an important part of student success. As families plan for the 2026–2027 school year, please keep these attendance reminders in mind:
  • 5 Parent Notes: Each student may use up to 5 parent notes for absences each school year.
  • 5 Tardy Parent Notes: Students may also use up to 5 parent notes for tardies each year.
  • 3-Day Deadline: Parents and guardians have 3 school days after a student returns to school to submit an excuse for an absence.
Families should also be mindful of chronic absenteeism, which is defined as missing 10% of the school year—about two days each month—whether absences are excused or unexcused.

Every day matters. Every absence adds up. Let’s make every school day count!
